What is cohousing?
Imagine living on a street where you know all your neighbours, where children can play outside safely, and there are people around to lend a hand in a tough spot.
Cohousing is a community-focused, people-powered way of living, where neighbours own their homes but share resources and responsibilities. It’s a way to build a fairer, more balanced community, reduce living costs, consume less and tread more lightly. We believe that life is better shared.
Our story
With the support of award-winning developers TOWN and Archio, our architects we’re building Angel Yard – a unique, sustainable cohousing development in the centre of Norwich, UK.
We’re at the construction stage of our project, so now is the perfect time to get involved. New members will be able to play a key role in helping to put the COmmunity into COhousing and creating the vibrant local neighbourhood that we wish to live in.
Our project
Angel Yard will be custom-built to the highest eco-criteria. We plan to use sustainably-sourced materials to create highly energy efficient homes with a low environmental footprint and low running costs. The need for heating will be minimal. We won't be using gas, instead we are intending to fit air source heat pumps, and we'll have solar PV panels on the roofs to generate some of our own electricity.
